1. Infrastructure Readiness & Requirements

· Baseline Versions: Ensure current environments meet the minimum software version requirements

· Platform Integration: Transition from standalone products to a unified management domain

· Resource Allocation: Plan for the host and storage overhead required to run the new management appliance suite.

2. Retiring Legacy Architectures

· Modern Lifecycle Management: Shift from legacy host patching methods to a unified, image-based cluster management model.

· Management Connectivity: Replace traditional vCenter linking methods with a centralized operations portal.

· Subscription Licensing: Move from perpetual license keys to a modern, core-based subscription model.

3. The Migration & Convergence Roadmap

· Management Layer Update: Begin by modernizing the operations and lifecycle management suite to establish the "fleet" layer.

· Unified Installation: Deploy the new lightweight installer to streamline the acquisition of VCF 9 binaries.
