SK hynix is the world’s third largest semiconductor manufacturer after Intel and Samsung. A single manufacturing plant can have two million events a day that need addressing from new code to incidents along the manufacturing line.
To simplify and automate operations, it deployed vRealize Suite, enabling it to launch 50 automation workflows, as well as VMware cloud technology to enhance the existing cloud management platform. Automatically monitoring workloads, predicting future demand and quickly addressing urgent issues has allowed the IT team to keep maintenance downtime to a minimum and eliminate unexpected system shutdowns.
VMware Cloud Universal is a flexible subscription that simplifies the purchase and consumption of VMware multi-cloud infrastructure and management services across the data center, edge or public cloud. In this podcast, learn more about VMware Cloud Universal program, its key features, the benefits to the customer, some of the key use cases.

With the latest vSphere release (vSphere 7 Update 2a), VMware takes developer self-service to the next level. The VM Service allows developers to instantly create VMs while allowing admins to govern these VMs and enforce resource limits.
Both admins and developers will see their productivity increase as less time is wasted on repetitive tasks and waiting on others. With this enhancement, organizations can now take advantage of a more frictionless cloud consumption model to easily deploy vSphere VMs alongside containers to build and deploy their next generation applications.
Following a ransom attack in Spring 2020 which put its IT systems out of operation, Serbian public utility company JKP Informatika wanted to improve the resilience of its systems and reinforce them against external cyberattacks. Working with partner Braineering, it deployed a hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solution based on vSphere and vSAN across a stretched (metropolitan) cluster with two primary data center locations and one alternative location, with an automatic failover.
As a result, JKP is now benefitting from greater speed and security with no outages, enabling the uninterrupted provision of services to local authorities, public institutions, and citizens. Read more here!
