VMUG has always been dedicated to creating unique opportunities for resources, knowledge sharing, events, and networking. But now more than ever, the world has had to adapt to an online space.
VMUG is prepared to provide nonstop access to your community, so you can have the support needed to navigate this difficult time. We’ve been hosting virtual events and webcasts for years – thus, online content and virtual spaces are not new territories. But as going virtual continues to be our safest option, it became time for VMUG to do some pivoting.
VMUG is first and foremost a community. We aim to provide free, cutting-edge resources to IT professionals. But more importantly, we offer a safe place for tech enthusiasts to find long-lasting personal and professional connections. Those spaces may look a little bit different in 2020, but VMUG is equipped to handle this pivot. From Virtual UserCons and Events to VMUG Community Zoom meetings – we are hosting new avenues for members to stay engaged.
As a VMUG Team Member who has worked both in-person and virtual events, I have to admit… it’s easy to miss seeing the VMUG community in person. There’s nothing like attending a VMUG Event in your VMUG Advantage cape or UserCon t-shirt. It’s hard to virtually replicate a good handshake or a selfie with your peers.
But the VMUG Community is resilient. We may miss our friends, but VMUG is so much stronger than the distance. The core of who we are as a community – as VMUG – is still accessible through a screen. We have the resources. We have the people. We have the virtual space to create those connections. So what are you waiting for?
Your community is just a few clicks away. If you would like to know more about how you can virtually engage with VMUG, visit this page and hear a message from VMUG President Steve Athanas.
