Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a virtualization and sports enthusiast. Three time vExpert and VMUG Leader. Craft beer lover. Pittsburgh Pirates grounds crew member. Husband to an amazing wife and Dad to a beautiful and intelligent girl.
What made you decide to be a VMUG leader?
I saw it as an opportunity to strengthen the community and to improve myself personally by strengthening my public speaking skills.
What is your vision for your local VMUG?
To continue to build the local community and provide the members with content that will help them in their job/career.
What is your advice to other VMUG members?
I encourage VMUG members to get active in their local groups and the VMUG online communities. Be sure to give back to the community and share what you know. Consider stepping up to lead a UserCon session, write an article for the quarterly Compass publication or VMUG Voice monthly eNewsletter. Don’t be intimidated; technology is moving so fast no one knows everything. Share what you know and you will be amazed at what you will learn from others. Coming together to share our best practices – and our challenges – is what makes VMUG such a strong community. If you aren’t active in VMUG, you are missing out on valuable information and great networking opportunities!
