Achmea is a major financial services provider in the Dutch market. The market and society are constantly changing, so the challenge is to keep innovating and remain relevant to customers.
In order to reduce the diversity within the IT environment and also benefit from economies of scale on a technological level, Achmea decided to standardise on VMware technology and Azure Cloud from Microsoft. They opted for VMware Cloud Foundation because it offers a future-proof platform.
This not only allows Achmea to continue to digitize and innovate their activities and services, they also make them perfectly ready for the cloud. Their aim is that 80 percent of their applications run in the cloud by 2025.

How Tanzu Application Platform helps deliver a rapid path to production with a streamlined end-to-end developer experience on any Kubernetes.
Kubernetes is the highest abstraction available to modern application developers today, sitting above containers and VMs. It also is arguably the most complex to get started with, VMware believes, being a mostly DIY user experience.
In this research, 451 Research analyzes the complexity and financial investments needed to work with Kubernetes and discusses the new VMware Tanzu Application Platform as the promise of turning developer definition into running a Kubernetes pod – without requiring extensive knowledge of Kubernetes.
After careful consideration, we have removed the ESXi 7 Update 3 release from our Product Downloads site. We made this decision to protect our customers from potential failures which may occur as they upgrade to ESXi 7 Update 3. While we believe that this would only impact a limited set of customers, it was serious enough for us to take this action. When we have resolved the upgrade issues in ESXi 7 Update 3, we will notify our customers that they may resume upgrades to ESXi 7 Update 3 at that time. For more information, read the announcement here.

Facing the German Online Access Act as well as increasing customer requirements, modernization is also on the agenda of the DVZ Mecklenburg-West Pomerania data processing center GmbH, IT service provider for the state administration of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
As a result of many years of virtualization with VMware vSphere®, DVZ M-V GmbH opted for VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid to implement advanced container technology and modernize all business processes.
The project was realized within remarkably short period of time in partnership with the evoila Group, giving DVZ a deep dive into container technology. The innovation driver thus paves the way to a digital future for public administration.
Oshinei Enterprise opened its first outlet in the provinces, instead of Bangkok, with the aim of making quality Japanese food accessible to everyone. But expansion was slow as it did not have an IT team to set up the systems in each new branch.
Oshinei turned to Cloud HM for help. The VMware Cloud Verified partner moved the servers in the outlets onto its enterprise cloud, which is built on VMware vSphere®, VMware NSX® Data Center and VMware Cloud Director®, and functions as Oshinei’s IT team through its managed services.
Since it now takes only 48 hours to set up the IT infrastructure in a new branch, Oshinei can open new outlets more efficiently and was able to expand from three to 18 outlets within three years.
