Deployment Guide for data protection and disaster recovery through Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3a and VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC 1.4
Purpose
This Deployment Guide is designed to assist administrators with the initial setup of Veeam Backup & Replication™ using VMware Cloud on AWS for backup and restore, specifically within the customer environment. Additional use cases, including multi-site deployments, and offsite backup and disaster recovery will be covered too. This document will review multiple storage and connectivity options for connecting storage as a backup target. There are some architectural considerations and sizing guidelines identified for general backup workloads.
Intended audience
This document is primarily aimed at solution architects, consultants, administrators and other IT professionals involved in deployment planning and implementation. At least intermediate level of VMware virtual infrastructure knowledge, AWS and advanced understanding (Veeam Certified Engineer [VMCE level]) of Veeam Backup & Replication are required.
